Tuesday, officials voted unanimously to turn two midstate schools into one consolidated institution, Middle Georgia State College. That's according to a MGSC news release. In January 2012, the University System of Georgia Board of Regents recommended to consolidate the campuses and faculties of Macon State College and Middle Georgia College.
